In Memoriam

George J. Detkos, a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the company of loving family. He was 91 years old. George graduated from Niagara University in 1961 and went on to become Senior Vice President and Treasurer of the former Niagara County Savings Bank. He ended his career as the Dean of Administrative Affairs for Niagara County Community College (n/k/a SUNY Niagara).

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church at 620 Center Street in Lewiston, New York, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
