Adjunct Association of Niagara County Community College Signed Contract

I am pleased to share that the Adjunct Association contract was signed at last night’s Board of Trustees meeting.

This agreement reflects our shared commitment to supporting adjunct faculty, who play a critical role in delivering high-quality education to our students.

Key Terms of the Agreement

1. Compensation
Adjunct faculty will receive annual increases of 5% to both lecture and lab hourly rates over the four-year term:

2. Longevity Pay
Adjunct faculty members will receive additional compensation per lecture or lab hour based on consecutive years of service:

  • 10 years: +$100/hour

  • 16 years: +$150/hour

  • 20 years: +$200/hour

  • 26 years: +$250/hour

Definition of Consecutive Service
“Consecutive years of service” means the adjunct faculty member has taught at least one semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer) during each twelve-month period defined as September 1 through August 31. There must be no twelve-month period in which the member performed no teaching duties for the College. Any interruption in teaching service lasting twelve (12) consecutive months or more will constitute a break in service and reset the longevity service calculation to zero.

3. Non-Discrimination
The agreement reaffirms SUNY Niagara’s commitment to equity and inclusion, with updated language to ensure compliance with Title IX protections against all forms of sex discrimination.
