Title II for Faculty & Staff–NEW Brightspace Resource

As you know, the new Title II requirements are coming in April. The EIT committee, Online Learning, and FRCAE have been working hard to ensure that all members of the campus community are aware and have access to training and resources to meet these new standards.

All faculty and staff have been added to a new resource in Brightspace to help you achieve Title II compliance. It covers everything from why accessibility is important and the new Title II requirements to how to ensure your digital materials are complaint.

There are modules covering:

  • How to structure your content
  • Text equivalents
  • Appropriate color contrast
  • Meaningful hyperlinks
  • Microsoft Word documents
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • PDF files
  • Other resources

You can access this course directly or through the Faculty/Staff Resources folder in Brightspace. You do need to be logged in to Brightspace to access any of the materials.
