Spring Reading Matters Book Selection

In The Orchid Thief, Susan Orlean focuses in-depth on a place (Florida), a plant (orchids), and a person (John Laroche). Zooming in and out, Orlean takes readers through history, geography, botany, and psychology in a book famously adapted for the screen by Charlie (and Donald) Kaufman. We’ll discuss the book over treats on Wrap-Up Day (5/18). Bonus goodies for anyone who watches Adaptation. directed by Spike Jonze, too.
