Erie Canal Bicentennial Exhibit at Lewis Library
Please visit the Lewis Library to see an exhibit celebrating the bicentennial of the completion of the Erie Canal.
Located at the entryway of the library, there are 4 panels describing the history of the canal and a short film playing that was produced by NCCC professors in 1993 on how the canal was conceived and completed. That film has been digitized and is also available to watch online.
Inside the library, we have a display of books and media related to the Erie Canal.
Thanks to the Western New York Library Resources Council for the exhibit panels and OIT for help with the video display and digitization.
