A diverse group of smiling people, men and women, stand together against a gray background. They are wearing colorful casual clothing and appear friendly and approachable.

Invisible Disabilities Awareness

Not all disabilities are visible. Many individuals live with conditions such as chronic pain, fatigue, learning differences, mental health disorders, hearing or vision impairments, and other challenges that may not be immediately apparent. Because disabilities can affect people in different ways, it’s important to avoid making assumptions based on appearance alone.

At SUNY Niagara, we encourage our community to foster understanding, practice empathy, and listen to one another’s experiences. By recognizing that not all disabilities can be seen, we help create a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.
