Julie Schucker Honored with Bette Frisino Award

SICAS is pleased to announce the 2025 recipients of the Bette Frisino Award, presented at the SICAS Summit on November 16th.

The SICAS partner awards were established in 2014 to recognize people who have made a significant contribution to the SICAS program. These contributions have made a difference not only for SICAS Employees but for the SICAS program as a whole.

One of the first people recognized was Bette Frisino from Hudson Valley Community College. Bette embodied what the SICAS partner award is about, in fact her name was the first one brought up when SICAS started discussing the award in 2014. Bette served Hudson Valley Community College from 1986 until the time of her death in October, 2016.

The award was renamed from the SICAS Partner Award to the Bette Frisino Award in 2020.

This year’s recipients include:

Julie Schucker, SUNY Niagara Community College, for her work with Degree Works pre-req checking and testing of two critical SOT patches

Congratulations, Julie, and thank you for your major contributions to the SICAS program and to SUNY Niagara.
