New Website to Go Live Feb. 19

The college will launch its redesigned website Feb. 19. Its aesthetic will reflect the refreshed SUNY Niagara brand that the college adopted last year, with a cleaner look, more white space and fewer long blocks of text.

While we expect the new site to look and perform better than the current one, it’s likely that the launch will be imperfect. This is normal.

To ensure continuity, we will not “turn off” the current site upon launching the new one. However, we do anticipate having redirects from many current site pages to their analogs or “replacements” on the new site. The PR office will triage requests and questions about the new site, giving priority to content and functionality affecting students and college business processes.

Also, some web content will remain unchanged. Athletics, the library and the college catalog have their own sites and are actually not part of the college’s website, although they are linked to it.

Development of the new site will not stop at launch. Looking ahead, the PR office will review the site’s structure, almost certainly leading to some reorganization. PR also will offer training to employees who edit their office’s or department’s websites.
