Redirect Cleanup and Old Website Shutdown Update
As part of shutting down the old college website (more info here: https://today.sunyniagara.edu/sunsetting-the-colleges-old-website/), a few small issues have come up, mostly links pointing to the old niagaracc.suny.edu domain. These can cause broken links or missing images, but I’ve been reviewing and fixing them as they pop up.
While digging into this, I also found that there were about 500 redirects previously in place. These were used for a variety of reason like pointing people to updated pages, using our branded domain for third-party links, or as quick fixes when something broke. Over time, this kind of patchwork can become difficult to manage, slow down site performance, and create confusion about what’s still active or necessary.
That’s why we’re cleaning this up now. The goal is to remove outdated or unnecessary redirects, make sure high-priority ones stay in place, and improve the long-term stability and performance of the site.
I’ve backed up all the redirects here:

The redirects highlighted in yellow are the ones I have preserved.
I’m continuing to review and update links across the site. If your department has any must-have redirects or links that absolutely need to keep working, please take a look at the list or reach out to me directly.
