SUNY Niagara English Instructor Publishes in Arizona Quarterly
Dr. Eric Thomas, Instructor of English at SUNY Niagara, recently published an article in Arizona Quarterly: A Journal of American Literature, Culture, and Theory (Vol. 82, No. 1, Spring 2026), a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by Johns Hopkins University Press and recognized as a leading venue for scholarship in American literature.
His article, “Pain and Principle in Edith Wharton’s The Fruit of the Tree: Testing the Ethical Imagination of the American Novel,” examines Wharton’s 1907 novel through questions of bodily pain and moral decision-making, contributing to scholarly conversations in American literature and the health humanities.
