Welcome Announcement – Leonard “Leo” Kayembe- Electronics Technology

Please join us in warmly welcoming Leonard “Leo” Kayembe to the SUNY Niagara community as our new full-time Faculty in Electronics Technology.

Leo brings a unique blend of academic excellence, industry expertise, and student-centered teaching to our campus. With a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and professional experience as an RF Design and Test Engineer with Northrop Grumman, Leo offers our students a strong foundation in both theory and applied practice.

Leo has already made a positive impact at SUNY Niagara through his work as an adjunct instructor, where he demonstrated a deep commitment to student success, collaborative learning, and instructional innovation. Known for his approachable demeanor, thoughtful mentorship, and passion for hands-on learning, Leo is eager to further enrich our Electronics Technology program by bridging classroom learning with real-world applications.

Beyond his technical background, Leo is a dedicated community leader and mentor, having served as the CEO of Glory Waves Ministries and actively engaged in student mentoring, youth leadership, and volunteer initiatives.

We are excited to welcome Leo into this full-time role and look forward to the energy, insight, and dedication he brings to our college community.
