The Niagara Falls Culinary Institute warmly invites you to take part in our annual Gingerbread Competition! We would be grateful if you could share this opportunity with your students, families, teachers, and any clubs or groups you may be affiliated with. 

 

Every entry will be displayed in our Gingerbread Village on December 5 and 6, where hundreds of visitors will get to see it. It’s a fun, creative project for a classroom, an art or culinary club, a scout troop, or a family weekend at home.

 

There’s a division for every age and skill level:

• Children (grades K–5)

• Middle School (grades 6–8)

• High School

• College 1 and College 2 

• Amateur (ages 14 and up, no formal training)

• Professional

 

Prizes are awarded to the top 3 builds in every division, including gift cards of up to $100 for Children’s and Middle School winners and up to $300 for High School winners.

• Every part of the house must be edible (no candy wrappers or foil)

• Drop off entries at NFCI, 28 Old Falls Street, Niagara Falls, on Thursday, December 3, between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm

• All gingerbread houses are up for silent auction December 5–6. Bid online, and winning bidders pick up their houses Monday, December 7 or Tuesday, December 8. All proceeds benefit the NFCI Student Scholarship Fund.
