They bring a wealth of clinical experience, knowledge of evidence-based practice and compassionate care into the classroom, lab and simulation environments, preparing the next generation of nurses to meet the evolving needs of our communities. Through their mentorship, scholarship, and service, they not only shape skilled professionals but also inspire a deep sense of purpose, empathy, and lifelong learning in every student.
Their contributions extend far beyond instruction—supporting student success, advancing the profession, and strengthening the healthcare workforce. We are grateful for their leadership, resilience, and the meaningful impact they make each day.
I am pleased to share that our nominee for the Professional Nurses Association of Western New York Nurse of Distinction in Education is Kareen Klettke. Mrs. Klettke acts as the NUR111 Coordinator, LPN Pass Instructor and Co-Advisor for the Student Nurses Association. She demonstrates leadership and is a role model who inspires students.
Please join us in celebrating and thanking our Nurses for their exceptional contributions during Nurses Week.
