Annual NYS Fire Inspection

Please be sure that your areas are clean, safe, and properly maintained.  Listed below are some of the most common violations.

Common Violations

• Candles – Candles or incense of any kind, even if you have no intention of lighting them, are major violations
• Space Heaters are not allowed and will be confiscated during inspection.

• Everything must be plugged directly into a wall or a surge protector!  Extension chords are a violation

• You must have unobstructed pathways to exits, in front of electric panels, and around fire pulls and extinguishers. In addition, storage has to be lower than 18” from the ceiling.
• COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL. Any liquid or gas must be stored properly (STEM Labs, etc.) 

• DOOR WEDGES used on fire doors are a violation.
