Call for Nominations–Dr. Carol Jamieson Award
FRCAE is now accepting nominations for the Dr. Carol Jamieson Award!
Criteria and Eligibility for the Award This award will be presented to a current or past full-time faculty member who has served at SUNY Niagara (NCCC) for at least five years and who best exemplifies outstanding professionalism and dedication in
- mentoring and support given to other faculty;
- continuous growth in the field of study;
- ability to inspire in students independent and original thinking;
- enthusiasm and vitality in learning and teaching;
- dedication to the support of academic excellence; and
- dedication to the college.
Nomination Procedure Any SUNY Niagara employee may submit a nomination by completing the nomination form. Please be advised that your nomination and the information you provide will become part of your nominee’s assessment portfolio, so please be as thorough as possible. Nominees are not typically told who nominated them and they will be asked to submit three letters of support: one from a colleague, one from a student, and their choice of an additional colleague or student. Therefore, your nominee may ask you for a supporting letter. If that happens, please indicate to your nominee that you were the nominator, so they can ask someone else. Otherwise, their portfolio will be incomplete. Nominations must be submitted on or before November 21st.
