SUNY’s “Inclusion Quest” (IQ) is designed to inform and empower faculty, staff, and students about the latest changes in accessibility laws and requirements that create a paradigm shift that must be considered when developing or using any digital content. Through a series of engaging workshops, interactive training sessions, collaborative projects, and friendly competition, participants will gain the skills needed to create accessible digital content and foster an inclusive environment.

The SUNY Risk & Compliance Office conducted a survey to assess the current risk and compliance landscape across all campuses. Fifty-six (56) campuses, including SUNY Niagara’s Institutional Effective/Research Office, participated in the survey. The preliminary quantitative results showed that cybersecurity threats as the number one challenge across SUNY campuses and that campuses’ preparedness to compliance risks was, on average, at six (6) out of a zero (0) (least prepared) to 10 (most prepared) scale. A centralized compliance dashboard or reporting system was identified as the most necessary risk management tool. To see more detailed results, please read the full post!
