Monroe CC faces Jamestown CC in the semifinal at 1 p.m. Saturday, while the top-seeded Thunderwolves await the winner in the championship at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Congratulations to Men’s Basketball coach Bill Beilein, who recorded his 350th career win in a 101-96 overtime finish against Monroe CC, 101-96, on Feb. 4 in Sanborn. Beilein is in his 17th season with the program and was already SUNY Niagara’s all-time wins leader after passing Dan Bazzani’s total of 197 during the 2018-19 campaign. In his tenure with the Thunderwolves, Beilein has reached the NJCAA Region III Div. II Final Four 15 times (including this season), won five regional championships (2016-17, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2024-25) and has received Coach of the Year honors seven times.

For only the third time in program history, SUNY Niagara is sending a whole bus-load of grapplers to Iowa. With an overall team score of 119 points, the Thunderwolves won their 28th NJCAA Region III and 25th Northeast District championships in program history Saturday at Jamestown CC. The blue-and-gold finished 28.5 points ahead of the runners-up, Nassau CC, and had all 10 of its wrestlers advance to the NJCAA national championships March 6-7 in Iowa.

Congrats to Cait Cliffe of SUNY Niagara women’s volleyball on recording her 300th career kill during a NJCAA Region III pod Saturday in Sanborn! Cliffe needed only nine kills entering the pod and recorded 15 in the opening match against Erie CC. Entering Tuesday’s contest versus Genesee CC, Cliffe has 320 career kills and 279 digs in 32 matches.

SUNY Niagara women’s volleyball recorded its first win of the season in four sets against Roberts Wesleyan JV, 20-25, 25-9, 25-18, 26-24, Wednesday in Sanborn. The victory marked the Thunderwolves’ first win of the season and first at home since Oct. 5, 2024 (Jamestown CC).
