Help Welcome Our Newest Thunderwolves at NEXT @ SUNY Niagara
NEXT @ SUNY Niagara is back for its second year, providing new students with a flexible, drop-in opportunity to feel prepared, confident, and connected before the semester begins.
Designed for first-year and transfer students, NEXT helps students take care of important pre-semester tasks, connect with campus resources, and navigate campus before classes start. During the event, students can walk their class schedules, find classrooms, pick up their Student ID, visit the bookstore, submit remaining paperwork, meet support staff, get questions answered, and explore campus at their own pace. Family members and guests are welcome to attend.
Students may choose one of the following sessions:
- Thursday, August 6 | 1:00–3:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 12 | 9:30–11:30 a.m.
- Monday, August 17 | 3:00–5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 26 | 4:00–6:00 p.m.
How You Can Help
Faculty and staff play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience for our newest Thunderwolves. Departments are invited to participate by hosting a table, providing drop-in assistance, or simply being available to answer questions and connect students with resources.

We encourage departments and offices across campus to be part of the NEXT experience. If your area would like to participate and be highlighted to students attending NEXT, please contact the Center for Student Engagement & Leadership Innovation (formerly Student Life) by July 16. Want to Include Materials?
Students attending NEXT will receive a resource folder. If your department would like to include a flyer, handout, or other informational material, please email an electronic copy to orientation@niagaracc.suny.edu no later than Thursday, July 16, 2026.
