Liberty Partnerships Program awards Jamie L. Reid Memorial Scholarship

On November 12, 2025, the Liberty Partnerships Program had the pleasure of awarding the inaugural Jamie L. Reid Memorial Scholarship to James Weaver. James is a graduate of Lockport High School and an alumnus of the Liberty Partnerships Program, first joining Liberty as a student at Aaron Mossell Junior High School.
The Jamie L. Reid Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Jamie Reid, former Director of the SUNY Niagara Liberty Partnerships Program, and serves as a tribute to her unwavering dedication to supporting students across Niagara County. The scholarship provides financial assistance to Liberty students graduating from partner high schools who go on to attend SUNY Niagara.
James was a fitting choice as the first recipient of this award, as he was originally recruited into the Liberty program by Jamie herself while he was a student at Aaron Mossell Junior High School. Congratulations to James and his family on receiving this meaningful and well-deserved honor.
