New NFCI Rainbow Ramp Parking Policy

Dear Faculty & Staff,

Beginning January 15, 2026, SUNY Niagara will implement a new Parking Ramp Policy for faculty and staff who wish to park in the Rainbow Ramp.

NFCI faculty, staff and tenants who wish to park in the Rainbow Ramp at no charge must complete the Parking Ramp Registration Application and submit a $20 refundable deposit.

Sanborn-based faculty and staff working at NFCI for the day and wish to park in the Rainbow Ramp at no charge may sign out an access card by visiting Rebecca Klamut in the Business & Finance office or by using an available card distributed to Division Offices and other designated department across the Sanborn campus.

Key Points of the New Policy:

  • Access Card Required:  An approved parking access card is required to enter and exit the Rainbow Ramp without paying a $5 daily parking fee.  The access card replaces the ticket issued by the parking machine.
  • Limited Availability:  Access cards are issued to currently employed NFCI faculty and staff.  Sanborn-based faculty and staff may sign out an access card from Business & Finance or other locations as determined.
  • Refundable Deposit:  A $20 refundable deposit is required once your application is approved.  Application and deposit are completed at the NFCI Reception Desk.
  • Refund of Deposit:  The deposit will be refunded by SUNY Niagara (by check) when the access card is properly returned.
  • Non-Transferable: Only one access card per approved applicant is permitted, and cards may not be shared.
  • Enforcement: Parking privileges may be revoked due to changes in employment status or policy violations.

Important Reminder

  • Parking incidents or claims must be reported in writing to City of Niagara Falls Rainbow Ramp personnel on the day of the incident, before leaving the premises.
  • Faculty and staff without an access card will be charged a $5 daily parking fee.
  • This policy also applies to students enrolled in NFCI programs.

Please note that the parking ramp is owned and operated by the City of Niagara Falls, and SUNY Niagara leases a limited number of parking spaces.

If you have questions, please contact the NFCI Reception Desk or John Eichner in Business & Finance.
