Niagara Falls Culinary Institute Celebrates Student Excellence in Culinary and Pastry Skills Competitions
Niagara Falls Culinary Institute is proud to announce the outstanding results of its recent Culinary and Pastry Skills Competitions, where students demonstrated remarkable craftsmanship, discipline, and innovation across a broad range of categories. From elegant wedding cakes and plated desserts to ice carving, fabrication, and mystery basket challenges, participants displayed the high standards of excellence that define NFCI programs.
Top honors were awarded to this year’s Gold Medal recipients, whose performances represented the highest level of achievement in their respective categories. Gold Medal winners included Kayla Ferraro for Wedding Cake, Cathy Barron for Petit Four Platter and Plated Desserts, Cassandra Cole for Ice Carving Display and Cold Pastry, Kim Piorun for Culinary Skills, Delorah Mast for Pastry Skills, Lance Stalnaker, and Kaycee Robisch for Cold Pastry.
Silver Medal recipients demonstrated strong technical execution, consistency, and professionalism across numerous categories including Bread Displays, Culinary Skills, Wedding Cakes, Fish and Chicken Fabrication, and more. Among those recognized were Sophia Haley, Mary Dunn, Sophie Lindsey, Noah Potash, Alyssa Davis, Kieran Nichols, Andrew Magnino, and many additional talented students.
Bronze Medalists were recognized for their solid foundational skills, creativity, and continued growth in categories such as Showpieces, Mystery Basket, Ice Carving, and Chicken/Fish preparation. Honorees included Emma Perkins, Jesse Martinez, Allison Haak, Isaac Murray, and others.
In total, the competitions recognized:

- 19 Silver Medalists
- 13 Bronze Medalists
These results reflect the dedication, passion, and perseverance of our student community. Whether earning a medal or gaining valuable competition experience, every participant contributed to the spirit of excellence and professional growth that defines Niagara Falls Culinary Institute.
