Women’s hoops student-athlete wins weekly honor

SUNY Niagara sophomore Krystal Smith was named Region III Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week on Wednesday. Smith had a career-high 30 points and 13 rebounds in an 80-57 road win at Jamestown Community College this week. She followed that up with 16 points and 12 boards in a 101-37 win at Erie Community College. Smith led the nationally-ranked Thunderwolves to a 25-3 (overall) and 6-0 (WNYAC) regular-season record. #RollWolves
