Tripp Leads SUNY Niagara to Marketing Gold
The 2025 National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) recognized SUNY Niagara for excellence in higher ed promotion this week. The college took home three awards from the NCMPR’s District 1 conference in Pittsburgh.
- Public Relations Assistant Ryan Herman created a collection of Tripp illustrations and emoji that won the highest award in the “Computer-Generated Illustration” category, a Gold Medallion.
- A collection of spring 2025 advertisements promoting NFCI—here is one of them—took Bronze in the “Television/Video Paid Ad (Series)” category.
- SUNY Niagara’s 2023-2024 website redesign, under technical direction from Web Marketing Specialist Matt Gagliardi, won a Bronze Medallion in the “Website” category and was the topic of a conference presentation delivered by Public Relations Director Hal Legg and Jay Ménard of Northern Commerce, the college’s website development partner.
NCMPR is an affiliate of the American Association of Community Colleges and the only organization dedicated to advancing marketing and public relations at community and technical colleges. Its membership includes has more than 1,600 communications practitioners from nearly 600 colleges.
NCMPR’s District 1 includes Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, and the United Kingdom.
